Hello, all!
If you have time now, could you help me with some questions?
I've been out of high school for a year and a half. Now I want to study for a university and go to Melbourne. (Or any other university in Melbourne, better with a scholarship!) I really like Melbourne!
I'm going to take AS and Alevel,Just starting to regain knowledge. Yes, I almost forgot everything I learned. Now I want to choose Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics. Hesitant in physics and chemistry, because later on in maths it's related to physics, but I really don' t like physics. I'm better at chemistry, and I like chemistry. But I don't know what to do with math that requires physics...
Another question is, is my choice of subject suitable for the University of Melbourne? I want to study economics at university. Is there another suitable university? My family is not very supportive of me going to Australia. I may have to work hard for scholarships and part-time jobs.
Thank you for seeing here and looking forward to your suggestions.

Hi @cmws

It's fantastic that you're planning to study economics at a university in Melbourne! Focusing on Mathematics and Advanced Mathematics is a great choice since these subjects are crucial for economics. Since you prefer chemistry over physics, it's wise to pursue chemistry, especially because physics isn’t essential for studying economics. The University of Melbourne offers a highly regarded Bachelor of Commerce with an economics major and accepts A-levels for entry. Other strong universities include Monash University and RMIT, both offering reputable economics programs. Scholarships, like those from the University of Melbourne and Monash, can help with financial support, and Melbourne’s student-friendly environment offers ample part-time job opportunities. For now, concentrate on excelling in your A-levels and explore specific scholarship opportunities to work toward your goal of studying in Melbourne. Give your best.
