Durham enrollment and middle name

So I logged into my email address for Durham university and noticed that they've included both my middle names as my name on Microsoft? The email address they've created for me also includes my middle names. Plus, on some emails addressed to me they've called me by my first and middle names (Dear (first, middle names), Is this normal? I just find it a bit jarring because it's so long and I've never had this in any school.

Yeahhhh I have a middle name and a double barrelled surname so my email has been really long for the past two years. Good news is is that for most things you can get away with using the cis code email which is the four letters and two numbers whcih you should eventually get if you haven’t already and once you remember that it is way easier to type.

Once you complete enrolment on Banner self service, there is an option when you enter your personal details to alter your name/enter a preferred name 🙂 But as the other comments have said, you mainly use the CIS username email (four letters and 2 numbers) during your time at Uni.
