Studying Medicine/ Dentistry in Georgia

Hello,

Does anyone have a pro/con list of studying at the schools below:

Sofia
Plovdiv
Varna
Trakia

What are monthly living expenses like? Which agencies are recommended? Are they all accredited in the UK?

Thank you,

Hi, although i’m not studying there now i’ve applied for Sofia to study dentistry with Inter Hecs. I’d reccomend them as an agency as their services are good and they are reliable. The living expenses in Sofia would be the most expensive obviously as it’s the capital city but still all these cities are cheaper than most places in the UK. All the universities you mentioned are accredited so you will be able to work in the UK. I have a family member who graduated from Sofia (medicine) and now works in the UK as a NHS doctor and they’re getting along fine

thank you very much, anondentist00.
do you have a rough package cost estimation for interhecs?

i wish you all the best!
Hey, for 2024 they had three different packages and prices start from 1.2-3.2K. The earlier you decide to start the application process I believe the cheaper it will be (these are prices from March ‘24). The payment is made in two instalments so I imagine that if you don’t make it in you will not have to pay the second part(?). I would reccomend that when your 100% decided, to contact them as early as possible perhaps before December for entry next year and cheapest prices. If you contact them yourself they can also provide the updated information. Although the cost is fairly expensive, if you can afford it’s a really good option as they help you with your application from start to finish as well as support when you move. Applying by yourself is possible but fairly tricky as I think you would need to be in sofia to submit the documents and there’s a lot of things to be translated too. As I did say though it is possible so if you could find someone who went through the process it would be good to get in touch with them. Hope this was helpful!

You can practise in the uk if u study in Georgia. U just have to choose a uni that’s credited by the gmc. There’s a whole heap of them here and imo Georgia is amazing to study in
