should i retake my cie chemistry AS level exam?

for context:

i got a C in my AS chem exam of the last may/june series. i'm not happy with the grade, i expected at least a B. my counsellor says to not resit as it will be too much pressure along with my other subjects (i got an A in both biology and psychology) and to focus on the A2 content so i can raise the grade to at least a B in A2. but i feel skeptical about it and feel that i should resit, and that i can get a better grade. however, while re-sitting the exam would mean a better grade, it's would also make me put the rest of my subjects on a back-burner until the resit exam is done. i don't want to put them at risk either.

i want to do biomedical science at university, so the chem grade is rlly important.

what should i do? would getting a B in A2 be difficult and should i resit? or should i just let it be and focus on the A2 content?

Personally I would focus on A2 is most unis are interested in the full a level grade rather than an AS grade. You'd be better off trying to get the A level grade as thats what unis want.
