Cambridge SAQ additional personal statement

How important is it to do the My Cambridge Application PS. I know it’s optional but how common is it do most people do it ??
will it make my application ‘better’ if I do it.

Most people will leave it blank. People who are applying to unique subjects at Cambridge, such as land economy or HSPS, tend to benefit most from submitting an additional Cambridge specific PS. This is because their UCAS PS will likely be focused on a related course that they are applying to at other universities (e.g. a geography PS for land economy or an anthropology PS for HSPS). You won’t be penalised for leaving it blank. If you feel like your UCAS personal statement covers everything then leave it blank. If there’s something specific you want Cambridge to know about why you’ve decided to apply, then that’s your opportunity to do so. Don’t copy things from your UCAS PS though.
