Have you visited both? Go and see them. Two very different cities. Lancaster is campus based on the edge of a small town. NT is near a large bustling city. Speak to the tutors. See the departments and so on. Just one thing in favour of Lancaster. BAE systems have a massive manufacturing plan in Preston nearby. Just a thought,

Hello @Rc3 Congratulations on your offers from Lancaster and Nottingham Trent. I've just finished my degree in Geography at Lancaster, so unfortunately i don't know much about the engineering course, however i can tell you about the general university. Lancaster is a campus based university that is about 3 miles from the city center, however its very easy to travel between campus and the city. Lancaster is also a collegiate university, meaning when you join you will pick a college to be in, based off where you live in 1st year. The colleges act as a small community and run lots of different events throughout the year from weekly quizzes, karaoke and craft nights to bigger events like winter balls and lots of freshers week events. Also the Students union helps run lots of different events throughout the whole year like Christmas markets that had an ice skating rink last year and end of year parties ect. The students union also helps run over 150 different societies, which are a complete range from every sports team your could imagine, music and craft societies as well as lots of others like underwater hockey, Lego society, Taylor swift society to name a few so there is great variety. If you would like to visit Lancaster to explore the campus for yourself, there are lots of campus tours happening over the next week, which you can sign up to here Clearing events - Lancaster University. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! -Jasmine (Lancaster Student Ambassador)
