Is Arbitio necessary for LNAT practice?

Arbitio is a lot of money for me, so for anyone who has used it, is it worth the money or should I just stick to the free resources on google? Do you think Arbitio is necessary in order to get a good score on the LNAT?

It’s definitely not necessary. Plenty of people will only use free resources online and achieve high scores by paying close attention to the wording of the question and the details in the passages. Personally, I have found Arbitio useful in combination with other resources (a practice book called The Ultimate LNAT Guide, free practice tests etc.), but I wouldn’t use it on its own. Because the questions are significantly harder than the actual test, some people fall into the trap of answering how Arbitio wants you to answer and not the LNAT (essentially overcomplicating the process). If you can afford it, I would look into getting it, but don’t rely on Arbitio as your main source of preparation - take free practice tests too.
Not necessary and will possibly knock your confidence as their tests are deliberately much harder than the real LNAT as like a reverse psychology thing. I got 28 in 2021 and now go to Oxford and I only used the free online resources (I think I got a free sample of Arbito but didn't like it very much)
My daughter scored 32 in the LNAT and obtained a place at Oxford using only practice LNAT papers and reading a lot. Arbitio sounds to me like a waste of money.

Thank you so much!! I borrowed the mastering the admission test for law book and i’ve been using mini tests online. i think i’ll get arbitio a month before the exam when i start working again so i don’t get too stuck on answering the way arbitio wants you to answer

32 is a really great score! well done to her, if you don’t mind me asking was there anything specifically she was reading/recommends reading.
