UCAS help

I need some advice please.
My firm is London met and insurance is Westminster.
London met is still waiting for confirmation.
On UCAS it states "Your place is confirmed at this university or college if you're NOT accepted at your firm choice for" from Westminster.
Recently I decided that I no longer want to study at London Met.
I talked with UCAS and they said I will be able to study at Westminster as long as I contact London Met asking them to make my application unsuccessful, so I can automatically have my only focus on Westminster.
I'm just a bit worried that I will have to go into clearing and risk not studying at Westminster in September.
Can Westminster retract its offer before London Met makes my application unsuccessful?
Thank you.

Westminister cannot retract their offer, they want you to study there. Your place is confirmed there if London Met do not confirm your place.
