is this a good revision technique?

is there any point in making notes? or should i just do exam questions with the help of my textbook?
Some people claim notes help them learn stuff - which is good for them. But I think the most efficient way of revising is understanding the content through your teachers/youtube videos etc. then answering questions/quizzes and finally answering exam questions when you've gained some confidence - this is particularly true for STEM subjects

Do you think it’s better if I just use online notes which are pre-made than creating my own as it could just waste time ?

so long as you know the material inside-out, then it hardly matters. i personally find making my own notes cements the material, however

What has worked well for me is doing practice questions to identify knowledge gaps, then using a combination of different pre-made notes (for the same exam board spec) plus the textbook to make my own mind maps. I only ever make notes for stuff I don't understand. But I think PPQs and blurting are the best way to revise. Especially if u have mark schemes with specific ideas or wordings, blurting rlly helps cement those into ur head.

Thanks so much for the advice !! Would you make mindmaps on every topic or just the ones you didn’t understand as much
