Maintenance Loan

Hi, I'm changing my application for student finance & adding on a Maintenance Loan as I originally wasn't sure if I'd be living away from my parents — if I get it posted within the next few days (21-22), should the money come through by the 3rd of October (date I have to pay)? Thanks.

Have you applied as a UK national, Migrant Worker or EU national? Do you have any child dependents on your application? How old are you? Are you applying for the higher rate of Maintenance Loan or just the basic amount? Do you know what forms you need to provide?

Hi, yes, sorry for the late reply — I'm 18, UK National & I've just applied for the max basic maintenance loan — I know it said it would take 48 hours for changes to be processed, but afterwards, would that money needed to pay for my accommodation still come in before the 3rd of October?

I take it you have just changed your loan request through your online account to request the basic maintenance loan that was already awarded? You haven't sent any forms to us?

Yeah, initially I was going to send a form though as I wasn't entirely sure

Hi seanresolute,

We can't guarantee that the money will come through before the 3rd October. Your payment dates will be based on the term dates that your university supply us with and we will also need Confirmation of Registration to make payments.
