Carmel college foundation year

Anyone that's done the foundation year before, would you be able to answer a few qs, I'm starting this September

- attendance; how strict are they on attendance, what's the timetable like mon-fri

- do you bump into the other a level students in the college often

- how much work is the course itself

The attendance isn't too strict (a lot of people took plenty of days off, especially in semester 2) but they definitely do monitor it and if yours is particularly bad they will likely call you up about it and arrange a meeting. For me, I usually took off train strike days because I hater the bus especially when the trains were off, but overall had decent attendance so never had any issues with that. I was in everyday Monday to Friday but most people got at least one day off, usually the Wednesday as that was a designated half day.
Most students in the college are A level students so you will see them around a lot but I don't know anyone that actually talked to them. Most would probably find it a bit creepy.
The work load isn't too bad but you would have plenty of assignments to do, 30 over the year.
