BAE graduate scheme 2025 intake

Hi, I have recently applied for the systems engineer grad scheme at BAE. Luckily I got through to final interview, but it’s coming up to two weeks now and I’ve still heard nothing. Getting a bit nervous now

Has anyone also applied for 2025 intake?
fyi I was offered a role for the systems engineer jan 2025 intake a month after completing the final interview

Ah okay that’s reassuring, thanks and congrats on the offer!
I'm planning to apply to 2025 grad scheme. how was the test? was it diffcult?
Hi all, I am ready to apply for the graduate systems engineer role but when I started my application, i saw the following text: "If you are applying for either a Systems or Software role within our Electronic Systems business unit or any role within our Maritime - Submarines business unit then these are restricted to British citizens who do not hold dual or tri nationality status". Now I am confused which of the remaining roles to apply, as I am an international student. Any clue which roles are open for international students?

Applied for project management. Online assessment was prerecorded video interview and 3 games afterwards. Online interview consisted of 4 competency based questions. Answer in STAR format. You get 3 chances to record yourself and 3 minutes to talk. Games afterwards were more annoying than anything. Pretty sure they’ll reject me tbh, they seem strict.

What sort of Q's that we need to record?

Update: I heard back 3 weeks via phone after final interview. I had been unsuccessful, but was placed on a reserve list as I had scored highly. 2 weeks later I was offered the job for April 2025 start 😊

What sort of questions were there in the final interview? And any advice? Thanks

I’ve had a few people asking about the assessments / interviews so I’ll do a lengthy answer to hopefully answer everyone’s questions

The online tests / games involved calculations and data interpreting, so if you are good with numbers you should be fine with these. You get an overall score at the end. The hirevue interview was fine. You have to pre-record your answers to a series of questions using the STAR method. You get a chance to watch your answers back and retry if you aren’t happy with them which is good

About a month after completing the online tests / hirevue interview I received a phone call from the hiring team for an informal phone interview. They gave me 5 minutes to prepare and then called me back. This was mostly questions like why I wanted to work for bae, why I chose the role and what I knew about the company. I was then invited for a final interview with the hiring manager a week later

The final interview was quite challenging. Ensure you are familiar with the STAR method as each question is scored using it. I believe this is where I messed up. The questions will differ depending on the role you are applying for but I would say do your research, make sure you have some solid examples ready and refer to any transferable skills you might have from previous work experience

3 weeks after the final interview I heard back that I had been unsuccessful, but because I had scored highly I was placed on a reserve list and was offered a position 2 weeks later, so ensure you are prepared and do your research as this could be the difference between getting hired and not

Hope this helps!

May I ask what sort of questions were asked in the hirevue interview? How were the Q's different from what was asked in the telephone interview?

Sorry - can't remember the exact video questions but stuff like when you worked in a team/when you achieved a goal and you try give specific examples. Don't know if this changes per role, I applied for project management.
what roles have we all applied to?
