Warwick transfer to LSE?

Hey, I firmed Warwick for A&F but I am having second thoughts. I was rejected from LSE and it was my dream. I am an intl student and I want to break into IB so I believe LSE would give me a better start. Here are my scores and subs I had in high school (final year) Accounting 87/100, Economics 94/100, Applied Maths 89/100, Business Studies 95/100 and English Lit 97/100. Overall I scored 92.4% and was the class topper and 4th in school. I am giving out this info cuz I want to know if I stand a chance at LSE. I think my PS could have been better. And also have done 2 internships.

Why would LSE give you a better start? Better start at what? Companies by and large do not discriminate based on where you went to university. There are some shocking candidates who come out of Oxbridge with 1st degrees and equally some amazing candidates who came out with a 2.2 or 2.1 from Bolton. Companies are not interested in where you went. They are interested in you, what skills and knowledge you have and ultimately how you will positively affect the profitability of the company.

By all means completely rejig your applications, but do so because elements of the course taught in LSE are interesting and not covered in Warwick. Do not go because of prestige. Prestige is something created by university marketing departments and counts for pretty much nothing.

Good luck!

LSE is a lottery for admission. So I would advise you to have no regrets. Also, I would advise you to do a Masters degree at Oxford, Cambridge or LSE in 4 years time. 🙂
