Student Finance

Hi,

This is my first post on here, so I'm not entirely sure how to ask questions and stuff but I applied for Student Finance a little late (almost 2 months ago) and I'm not sure if it'll be processed in time.

I'm planning to study at Aberystwyth university but if I can't get my Student Finance sorted out by the time I start at university, I won't be able to go.

Is there something I should do? Is there any way to speed up the process? Should I contact the university when it gets closer to the time for my course to start to ask for help? I'm not sure what to do.

Where do you live in the UK? When you log into your online account what is the status of your application and have we requested you to send any further evidence? Did you apply in June?

Hi,

I live in the North-West of England. When I log onto the account, it says it's "processing my application" but it's been saying that for a while now. It doesn't say there is any further evidence needed at all and just says I have "actions in progress" (it has been saying that for a while now, though). I think I applied in either June or July.

I'm really sorry to hear that you are having some problems with student finance and are unsure of when your application may be processed.

Unfortunately, I can't give you any specific answers, however, I can give you some general advice. It may be worth calling student finance and asking for some general advice on what to do if the payment does not come in time. Calling them will not speed up the process but it might give you some answers. You could also contact your universities finance team as you said, to ask them for some advice, or if there are any options/support available for you.
