Official Year 10 Chat Thread 2024-25

OP

Hii js started Year 10 this year! My favourite subject is probably maths or English lit. I picked drama, spanish and geography. My school also makes us do IT or computer science as an additional one. I listen to a lot of different music but I rlly like Cavetown. My favourite food is probably macaroni :smile:

I did Spanish and geography! I found Spanish quite difficult but I only started learning it in year 9, and I think that had a lot to do with it. Geography was always one of my favourite subjects at GCSE (not so much at A-level lol).

My favourite subject is probably English or Geography. For GCSE's I am doing triple science, English, maths, rs, food tech, geography, Spanish and business!!! No, it's a once a week after school thing. But I want to get a 9 this year in maths, if the grade boundaries allow it.

My favourite subjects are Media and English lit!
I've chosen to do Media, Triple science, Spanish , History and Further maths (and English lit & lang). I have many favourite films and shows that i could go on hour rants about, at the moment my favourite film is 10 Things i hate about you and TBBT. I listen to all kinds of music, it really depends on my mood, currently im listening to 60/70s RnB and my favourite food is Cinnamon Apple Crumble

I know a very small amount of Russian - I just love the language and the way it sounds, even if I don't understand the words. Do you listen to Russian music too then? If so, what's your favourite song?

hi my name Celina, i have recently moved to the UK and currently doing GCSE at a sixth form college. the subjects that they teach here i have never done them before e.g. chemistry physics and biology. the English they teach here is really different from they teach in my country its very grammatical, in the UK its all stories and poetry and shake spares which i have never done before and its really hard and mostly confusing to do or to understand. i just don't know what to do. i haven't made any friends at the college that I'm attending the math's here are also different some of the topic they do, my country doesn't do. where i came from we do something call CXC sorry i might be babbling right now. I'm basically having a hard time ,but i need this GCSE more than anything .

I'm doing math, chemistry, biology, physics, business and English
i haven't really got time to watch anything but my favorite show is arcane or game of throne or house of dragons
well i listen all kind of music so i really don't have any favorites
my favorite food is chicken curry, fried rice, pepper pot and chow Mein

I do! I listen to lots of Russian songs when I have time - particularly Soviet patriotic songs as they are very energising. I'm also a fan of some more modern Russian songs such as those by the band Молчат дома (Molchat Doma). Which ones are your favourites?
