Hiii I haven't been revising a lot lately cuz I can't really find motivation so I just wanted to ask how is your revision going guys and what's motivating you (or if you're not motivated we can relate) because hopefully that will help me get back on track 🙃

The fear of failure is motivation for me. Every time I procrastinate I just think of my dream of going to Oxford of Cambridge for uni and how much of a failure I would be if I failed all my GCSEs and how horrible it would be for me. If I study now I can relax later but if I don't study now I'll regret it later on and that motivates me to study harder.

Yh it's true that fear of failure is one of the best motivators 😭

Year 10 involves a lot of hormones. You're growing a lot this year. Maybe Lewis from your Maths class fancies you. Maybe you're not friends with Louise any more because she blanked you on Snapchat. Who knows? :iiam:
However, at some point you are going to need to remember and recall the things you have learnt this year. That time will come in the summer of 2026 in an exam hall on a warm afternoon, but from now: things start to count. :afraid:
How can you best make use of your time?
- Attendance. Not feeling too well? Have 2 paracetamol and come into school anyway. Avoid the curry at lunch and you'll be fine. You'll be sorry if your exercise books are missing bits of information when you come to reading them back for revision next year.
- Keep everything. Don't throw away any worksheets, booklets, textbook photocopies, exercise books. Keep it all and keep it tidy. This year is about getting some knowledge - including in physical form.
- Have fun. Despite all the scary words in this post this is still not the big crunch time yet. Stay relaxed, get into yoga, go swimming, spent time with your friends (always wear protection).
- Keep calm. Now is not the time to have a massive row with a teacher for confiscating your phone or your earrings (boys). Now is the time to show your maturity, breathe a little and rise above the situation. You're better than that.
Give it some beans everyone. :happy2:

Hi everyone,
Im currently doing 11 subjects, including engineering, classics, Spanish and geography. my favourite subject so far is probably classics, even though its content heavy, I still really enjoy it. If any one has any tips for GCSE Engineering revision i'd appreciate it, because I feel like literally no one takes it! It's a long reach, but i'll try. My least favourite so far is geography. It feels like time has been flying, I haven't really settled in like I did in Year 9, and I don't like it lol.Ive got mocks in April and would like to know what u guys are planning to do for those. Thanks for reading x

2)RE is compulsory, combined science, geography, drama, business, support study (hate it)
3) idk maybe dynasty or greys
4)Cheesecake
Does anyone else do drama?
Like i have friends but they all hang out in the toilet which i don't mind apart from the fact i am a germaphobe, and hanging out in the toilet cubicle. Which ew. Whilst they do that go to the library to see my mum. it is a bad habit i have gotten into going to see her and it neds to stop but i don't really have any other friends and i really struggle to make friends and then keep them. I hate socialising and i don't know why. i know it is late but tbh i really struggle with sleep.
NEED ADVICE WITH THE FRIENDSHIP

I finished it now thanks for the offer

i try to make study resources throughout the year (usually for the mini tests throughout) so that by the time mocks come i just need to revise using those and don't need to make any - for example i make my flashcards throughout the year or my glossary terms so that by my mocks i can just use those.
hope this helps x

Hey!
1) My fav subjects are History and English
2) Maths (set 1), English, Triple Science (😢), History, RS, German
3) My fav. film is Interstellar by Christopher Nolan!
4) Mostly pop/rock songs. I like Maneskin, the Neighbourhood, the Weeknd, Lana del Rey and Billie Eilish.
5) I don't have a fav food, but when I go to a restaurant I always pick Bolognese (Idk why)

I also have a question, is anybody here doing RS/RE as well? How do you find it? I am good at humanity subjects however RE feels different. It feels like all the questions are written in code and I have to decode them or something...😭😭😭

I also do RE and I'm finding it a lot harder than I thought it was, its not learning the content thats hard but the questions, especially the 12 markers are very difficult to answer in such a short amount of time 😵*💫
