Advice for study biomedical engineering and potentially studying medicine postgrad

Hiya,
I went through clearing and am now starting biomedical engineering in September after not making the grades for pharmacy at my chosen university. I hope to study medicine in the future as that was my initial plan after studying pharmacy anyway. My interest lies primarily with science so I am concerned I won’t enjoy the degree as it is mainly engineering with very little science components. I’m wondering if anyone who studies biomedical engineering has any advice as I want to ensure I’m doing whatever possible to maximise my learning incase I do want to study medicine in the future as I would need at the very least a 2.1. I think would enjoy a career in biomedical engineering I’m just concerned the degree itself has very little science components. Any advice would be appreciated.
