Rude email

sent a passive aggressive reply to my teacher without realising it how do I go about it now? Do I apologise for the way it’s come off or just ignore it?

Maybe just a quick apology? It depends how bad you think it is or to what extent the language might get you reported?

Fess up
On the lines of .... I sent an email addressed to you on x date. I apologise because the tone of the content of the email is quite curt, and may have caused you some distress. It was never my intention to ever cause you any offence. Please accept my apologies and in future I will recheck any communication prior to pressing the 'send' button.

or Deflect blame (to a certain extent)
I wish to apologise for the rude email you may have received from my email account.
I am so sorry if this caused you any distress. I was feeling upset at the time and had composed a message, but thought I had deleted it. I never had any intentions of sending it, and have managed to press the send button by accident. If you need me to apologise personally I will do this as soon as I am able, or whenever there may be a convenient time.

or Ignore it and wait for the fall out

This was my email —-

Hello All,

I hope all is well.

You may have already seen the email I've sent to the exam officers, however I thought I'd also send a separate email to let you know that I've asked for access to my exam transcripts.

If it is okay with you, I'd appreciate it if you remarked/reviewed my papers using the mark scheme on your own time to conclude whether a remark is worth it.

Even if it isn't, I am considering resitting and would like a quick debrief to see where I went wrong in each paper.

I hope that is okay.

If there's any problem with it, please do not hesitate to let me know as soon as possible so I can find an alternative solution.

Once again, apologies for any inconvenience.

Kind regards

Rhis was her reply

I've looked at your mark and the grade boundaries for Biology.
You were 8 marks off an A grade.
I hope you understand that as the number marks is not close to the grade boundary I do not recommend a remark.
When you receive your scripts you will be able to identify your weak areas by the number of marks gained for each question.
This should be enough of an indicator of whether you wish to resit exams or not.

Kind regards,

And rhen i replied to it and said i recognise that you work part time therefore may deem it as a waste of time and that is okay I can ask somebody else to review my papers with me

I think it justifies an apology. Write something short and contrite to withdraw it and then speak in person
I agree that was a bit silly given the teachers response.

I would just send a quick, "Apologies, I've re-read my last message and realised it may have come across as a bit short which was not my intention. Could I offer my thanks for the feedback with regards to the remark."

Just a thought. If you had happened to put all this time and effort that you have now made here (about the grovelling email you should send) - into the extra accumulation of knowledge prior to the exam - you might have scooped those extra 9 marks? Good luck with your future marks and your progress ahead in life. This is just one small hiccup in life and there will be many more (its what makes life interesting and is also what gives you wrinkles) So keep going 😀

My dad had two heart attacks and i gor punched and had to go a&e the day before my bio exam😍 Ive never got less than an A in bio and ive always worked hard, I did every possible past paper for chem TWICE and was gettinf 90%+ I have had to deal with A LOT at home and got an interview for med on clearing but couldn’t go bc im my dads primary carer so maybe maybe i wouldn’t have been able to gain those marks bc Ive had to deal with so much in a year
