The Student Room Group

Warwick or Southampton for chemistry?

I have clearing offers for both and was wondering which might be better (I know there's no definitive answer)

As they're both Russell Groups, they're about the same. Warwick is only really an above average Russell Group for Maths and maybe Economics (coming from an ex-Warwick student.)

Bar Oxbridge, I'd treat all Russell Groups on virtually the same footing, whilst considering which subjects are stronger overall.

My advice would be to check out which university you prefer at an open day.

*I'm not sure about Southampton, but Warwick is quite easy to get into with most of its courses. I got into Warwick's Law course with BBC, in case you're wondering how lenient they are with lower grades
