Teachers :/

Does anyone else have a bad teacher that just like ruins their love for the subject, I really enjoyed chemistry until I moved up a set and the work got harder and the teacher got worse and now I hate it and don't understand anything

I totally get where you're coming from. It’s really frustrating when a teacher's approach to a subject is unclear or uninspiring or just generally feels poorly taught.

Although it's hard to engage with a subject when you have a bad teacher it's important not to fall into the trap of associating the subject with the person and letting it taint your entire perspective on the subject. It's important to recognise that if you enjoyed Chemistry before you can enjoy it again. It may be that in terms of learning more about Chemistry and getting better you take a different approach and instead of relying solely on your teacher you could try learning more about the topic/s from other people using other resources - like online videos/study groups (bear in mind if you feel like this, chances are other people in your class feel the same way).

I definitely think it is possible to reignite your passion for the subject and to get better - just gotta try a few different moves and tailor your learning to work for you (especially if the teacher isn't doing much to foster this) :h: :kungfu:
