Part time/freelance jobs for uni students

Hi,

I’m starting university next month and was wondering if anyone knew of any good companies which are open to hiring students. In particular, it’d be great if anyone knew any companies that have freelance/remote jobs available or else any companies who are okay with students going home for the Christmas/Easter holidays. I know this is unlikely, but I wondered if anyone had any experience with chain brands allowing students to transfer between branches during holidays?

The seemingly endless slog of Indeed is getting to me, so any help is much appreciated, thanks! 😅

I know that Costco hires a lot of students, you can just let them know in advance of any holidays you want booked off and they don’t open on certain holidays like on Christmas. And you get a certain amount of holidays a year which I think is 20 if I am correct. But you can book time off as well but you can ask for it to be unpaid if you use up all your holidays.

With the transferring situation they do let you transfer but I am not sure if they allow it for the holidays and then come back after you may have to ask them about that.

Thank you so much for the response, that’s really helpful to know! I hadn’t considered Costco, so may well be worth having a look, thank you

No worries, yeah they are quite flexible depending on what department you are on.

I have a part-time job that can be done remotely. You only need to take one hour of your free time each day to complete it. If you're interested, please contact me.

I know that mcdonalds hires a lot of students. I used to work for them myself (9 years in total, started off there as a student).
I didnt go to uni myself, but i know of a lot of people who i worked with who did. Quite a few i worked with went off to uni, then came back to work at our store over the summer and at xmas etc. Some of them also transferred and worked at stores near uni while there (then came back to our store when at home).
