law work experience for non law degrees

ive decided to do a non law degree and then do a conversion, but people are already talking about placements and stuff??? is there any wex or things i can know ab before i start (for context im going to nottingham)

I’d say if you are set on a career in law and off to Nottingham, that you join, at the very least, the Law Society there. I believe they have an active Bar Society and Mooting Society as well as others. ‘Law’ based societies are great for networking and things like workshops and guest panel discussions etc. You don’t have to be a law student to get involved, but you will find a lot of members are law students. Think of it as another way to make friends with people outside of your course too. Good luck.
