Exeter MedSci experiences?

Hi!

I'm starting medical sciences BSc this September. Just wanted to see if I could hear more of people's experiences with the course?? i.e., timetabling, workload, how scary is lab etc., I want to prepare myself as much as I can lol.

I've also heard the medsci course is changing to biomed next year with a different course structure etc., Is this likely to impact our experiences with the course or are changes only happening for new students?

I would recommend talking using our Ask a current student messaging service to reach out to current students for experience whilst you wait to see if others get back to you here: Ask a current student | Study | University of Exeter Hopefully they can provide you with some of the student insight you are looking for!

You are correct that there is a name change and course change coming, but this will only impact students starting in 2025. So as a 2024 starter you should not be impacted; the structure and name will remain as you expect. Hope this reassures you a bit.
