Accommodation in Lonsdale

I'm a prospective undergraduate student at the University of Lancaster and I've been offered accommodation in Lonsdale College. However, I am concerned about ease of travel, as this college is quite far from my faculty (Science and Technology). I would like to know the walking distance and biking distance between these two buildings.

Hi Anon,
Lonsdale college is located in a separate part of campus called SW campus, however it is only a 5-10 minute walk from the science and technology building. Also its about a 10 minute walk away from Alexander square which is the center of campus, so its quite quick to walk across the whole of campus.

Oh, thank you. The university map made the distance look pretty intimidating, lol. Glad to hear it's a short trip.

P.S.: SW stands for South West, yes?

Hi @Luluco13 thank you for your question. The university campus is pretty accessible in terms of walking and does not take the average person too long. For example, it takes me around 20 minutes to walk from LICA (Lancaster Institute for Contemporary Arts), the most north building on campus all the way down to Lonsdale and Cartmel at the furthest South West Point!

Yes you're correct! SW = South West Campus.
