I use santander for my student account due to the free railcard and £1500 arranged overdraft

Hi Anon,
This useful article by Martin Lewis has a good list of student bank accounts available with the different benefits.
Hope this helps!

ty!
Hi,

There are so many different ones it can seem a bit daunting. It is likely you will see many different options during Fresher's week.

I chose to sign up for the santander student account as you get free access to a 16-25 railcard for 4 years. This has been a life saver for me, especially when travelling home on the trains!

The article someone else linked is also a great resource

Hope this helps and that your vet course goes well!!

NatWest are currently giving £100 freebie and a 4 year tastcard and also have a £1500 overdraft.
You can switch between banks to get rewards so get a Santander one then halfway through the year open one with NatWest x
I used the Santander one for the Railcard and guaranteed overdraft amount (most Banks aren't guaranteed). Have been happy with them and no issues from my end.
