Has your doctor suggested any treatment? There are things they can prescribe without needing to refer you... What have you tried yourself? Have you spoken to a pharmacist? They can advise about stuff you can buy without a prescription that might help.

It’s not a good time to get GP help, but I would keep as much pressure as you can on them to help you. Acne is not just a cosmetic issue, it’s a mental well-being one too. They should at least prescribe something, the chemist remedies don’t work in my experience. And if what they prescribe doesn’t work say it’s affecting your mental health and ask again to be referred.

NHS staff being incompetent and the flood of people needing health care means you’ll be bottom of the priority list to anything life threatening tbh.

Because primary NHS care is in crisis, two week plus waiting lists for telephone appointments and unresolved resourcing issues. Looking forward to seeing Wes Streetings plans, having declared it broken, to make progress with getting things back on track

In February, I was put on the hospital dermatology waiting list. Last week, I was told that I am number 226 on the waiting list. Good luck.

I’ve been there, and it’s so frustrating. What helped me was focusing on high-quality skincare from trusted sources like https://www.canpharm.com/. Don’t lose hope; the right routine can make a difference!
