Are software jobs not going to be in demand ?

Hello,
I am currently doing a bachelors in software engineering. Just a quick question, do you think that software jobs might not be that demand in the future ? Because of AI tools they might replace jobs in the future. ( I am just a bit worried because i do not want to finish my bachelors and not being able to find a job in the future. )

Hi, I absolutely do not think software jobs would be replaced in the future as AI is developed and improved each time through software engineering and people who work in IT and testing. If anything, the IT industry is developing each day and is in need of more and more people (obviously depending on the particular sector or position) and it is up there in the top three : doctor, engineering (IT) and lawyer so I wouldn't stress if I were you!

Software Engineering jobs will always be in demand, and even with AI, they are going to need Software Engineers and other people in IT to develop them.

Even with a Software Engineering degree, you aren't locked strictly into software engineering jobs only and you still have a wide range of software and IT jobs you can apply to. It's not uncommon for a graduate of any job to say that they spent a while without a job after graduation. Just be sure you're networking, establishing connections, and gaining experience and skills during your time at university. Those things will help you find a job much easier!

hey there! do you think there could be non IT jobs that would also be good with a software engineering degree? I was thinking of maybe going into finance - maybe accountancy or business analysis or something but i dont know whether a software engineering degree would lock me out of those types of jobs

I was also thinking of that question, of being able to get non IT jobs, are those doors open for us who study software engineering ?
