durham banner self-service error

hello! i'm starting at durham this september. i've attempted to access banner self-service to enrol with the university, but an "invalid udc id mapping" error appears whenever i try. i've given it a go with two different devices and unfortunately have had no luck as of present.

i've spotted posts on here discussing similar problems with using banner, but i see none detailing this specific error code. just wanted to ask if anyone else has been having the same problem - if so, i'll happily give it a rest for now. thank you! <3

hi I'm in the same boat, I think it's an issue on durhams side at the moment - will try again in a day or two and see if it works then 🙂

ah thank you so much for letting me know! i’ll try the same, hopefully everything ends up being alright
I've had the same issue too - it says error whenever I try and log in. glad I'm not the only one
My daughter is also starting in Durham in a few weeks (!) and was able to logon with her temporary password, reset her password, and then setup the MFA, but when she tried the banner self-service got the same error. She called IT, and they told her everyone is affected, and that they are working on it.

My son has the same problem, not much point sending the email encouraging you to register if the system doesn't work!
I've been having the same problem, I received a new email today with a different link but when I log in it just says "Log in forbidden". Has anyone else had the same issue?

Me too actually! So I went and tried the old link in the original email and it worked! I assume since I already logged in through Microsoft yesterday it didn’t actually ask me to login again. I’m not sure if this made a difference but i clicked the blue “post” button instead of waiting for it to load. Hopefully it works for you all too!

Yeah i've been having this issue too, let me know if it's resolved
Late last night, my daughter tried the original link again for the self-service enrolment (that was previously giving the mapping error), and it worked (she had already done the Microsoft part earlier in the day - you need to authenticate with Microsoft first before you can access the self-service enrolment - when it's working it goes through, if not you get the mapping error).

Hi - if it still does not work try emailing it service desk. I had the same issue but they've sorted it out for me now.
