Do I go to a sixth form less reputable but closer or a farer one that's "better"?

Results day is literally tomorrow and I have yet to decide what sixth form to enrol to kind of not looking good.

Both the sixth forms i am talking about accepted me already so it's my decision to make.

One of them is like 20 minutes away ish and the other is maybe over an hour away would it really be worth it going there if most of my time will be spent travelling?

I was thinking especially during exams I might even stress more about being punctual over my actual exams so I feel like it would be such a waste.

The other sixth form college doesn't have the best reputation but it is qvery close and still has students achieve A*s and has a more relaxed environment so surely I can achieve that too?? If I get unlucky and get a bad teacher I am decently confident that I can self teach as long as I keep my current subjects which I each enjoy and wouldn't mind working to my bones at.

The bigger problem is how do I convince my dad to let me go to the latter option - he is more focused on how it is "known" as a not so good sixth form.

You seem to be leaning toward the closer sixth but are put off by your dad’s views, is that about right?
It’s really not his decision as this decision will influence the rest of your life, not so much his. Choose whichever feels right for YOU! Also he has no control over which you accept your offer for on results day unless he literally guides you hand or presses the button himself so if he’s pressing you then remind him that’s its your decision and you would like to make your own decision.

Thank you so much for replying omg and you're right I am more leaning to the closer one although I must admit I might have wanted it a bit more because my partner will be going there toooo and I do understand why my dad might see the other school as better

But yes I do agree that it is my decision essentially and I really don't believe I can do well somewhere I've been so against it would basically ruin it for me from the start if that makes sense??

If that doesn't help me convince him is there any mother way I could? Because he's focused on the reputation and results of which sixth form I should go and the farer one is clearly better in that area so I don't know exactly how to convince him as I feel like he may dismiss other explanations :/

Really grateful for the reply btwww thank you

To convince your dad maybe make a pros and cons table of each school to show what you’ve considered and then tell him why the pros of the closer one and the cons of the further one mean you would rather attend the closer sixth and that you are making this decision from several factors and it is well researched and thought out

hi it's been a while already but update! I enrolled into both on results day but also fatefully sent my results to this other sixth form that had already rejected me like months ago and they actually accepted me so that's where I'm going! wow talk about unexpected!
tbh idek if you can enrol to multiple so all 3 are expecting me to start next 3 need cancel the other 2 umm

Id suggest sending the ones you dont want a place at an email saying that you no longer require a place asap because it means someone else cannot have your place
