There's no awards?? For us it's called 'outstanding student award' or something, but you also get awards for the highest marks in specific subjects (at least I think?) but it's super competitive because 35-40% of the grades awarded in my year group were 7-9s

Yeah 90% of grades are 9-7 in my school which explains it. I’ll probably be in the top 20 with 7 9s 3 8s and an A so no award for me 😭

You’ll have to ask your school that. It’ll be around 60-80 pounds which is quite a lot. Or double if you mark 2 papers. They usually would fund a remark if they thought it was a good idea, but otherwise, they wouldn’t.

You did so many subjects omg I did 9 I think and got 7 9s, 1 8 and 1 A but maybe you took separate sciences? did you take the further math paper as well?

My A was in add maths (top grade)

Yeah 10 GCSEs + the add maths.

I’m remarking history though because I’m adamant I should’ve done a million times better so hopefully that’ll become 8 9s.
Only did one GCSE this year (OCR classical Greek) and really proud to say my whole class of 7 got 9s on our exam! I got 195/200- hoping for another good results day in a years time for the rest of my gcses!
