RAF Basic training Halton

Morning,
We intend to drop our son off at Halton for his basic training soon, I see parents are allowed on the base, can you advise how long a parent can stay ? is it a short drop off only, 30 minutes., longer ? we want to support but don't want to overstay our welcome.

I'm sure they will make it clear, if not in the paperwork beforehand, then as you arrive. Chances are there will be something like a meeting for all recruits at 1700, which is an implicit note that parents need to have gone by then.

Hello, how’s your son is doing? My son has joined in the same day! I was wondering if there’s any FaceBook link for parents to see how they’re doing? I know my friend, whose son joined Navy, had a link and could see some videos of her son and other recruits from basic training.
