Should i retake aab

I achieved AAB (A in maths and econ, B in french) at my a levels. Is it stupid to retake an A in maths to get an A* (I am sure I could achieve this), or is it a waste of my time. I didn't get into the course I wanted (econ and finance at Bristol, which is AAA or A*AB, and instead got Maths at Leeds (which accepted ABB through clearing). I feel like doing this course is a waste of my potential and grades. What would you guys do?

For clarification I got remarked from ABB to AAB, so I am now essentially doing a worse course than what I could get next year

I would either retake Maths and get the A* which would only take me about a year or two to do so it's not too much of a waste of time. Or, I'd do Maths at Leeds and then reapply to Econ and Finance at Bristol as a graduate. Either option is a good one but you also have to try and find a place that will allow you to retake Maths only (they might want you to retake everything and it may not be worth the risk).
