royal national orthopaedic hospital work experience/medical work experience

hi! i'm going into year 12 (aged 16) and hoping that this/next year i can get some medical work experience as i think i want to apply to medicine for uni
I saw online that the royal national orthopaedic hospital offers work experience placements and took a look at the application form, but it's asking me for a member of staff to "sponsor" my placement. i was just wondering if anyone had done the work experience there and if so what this means/how you managed to find someone?
also i would love to know if the experience was worth it/what you got to do! i want to apply to the surgery/anaesthetics related course but any info about people's experience in any course would be great
furthermore if anyone has had medical work experience elsewhere that you recommend i would love to hear about it! none of my family are doctors so i am realllyyy struggling to find any experience.
