Well, here is my philosophy. We as humans have no idea how we are created and thus to take the view that one sole religion is the basis of humanity is incorrect. However, because all religions (generally speaking) talk of being good to thy neighbour, then that is something we should abide by. I'm quite certain that there is a deity, I don't know what or whom it is and thus I won't speculate. I do know however, that I will always be nice to people and do my best to help others - if that doesn't take me to heaven then something is wrong. Furthermore, there is a basis to religion of 'turning away from sin' - I think this is a fallacy and is used in some religions to keep 'control' of the people. (as I mentioned, being good to people, loving they neighbour more or less overrides all other 'sins' that can be committed). Thus, I take the view that I will live my life as I see fit, excluding restrictions placed on me due to religion or such, but I will also be as good to my friends, family and the average joe as I can. Doing this cannot stop me having a good ****ing time, to speak frankly, and I intend to this. 'Life is but a poor player that struts itself upon the stage and then is heard no more' - make the most of you're life, leave an impression, do what you want, and if it makes you happy then I'll be seeing you in heaven sir/madam.

Well, this has been a very enjoyable debate. Perhaps we should move it to the debate and discussion forum? Anyway, I'm off to bed now, but I'll be back to read your thoughts on lobster psychology.

dirty sprawling cities are no replacement for green forests.
Ahhh I can ignore the rest of that post because we've discovered the focus of your argument! You're saying that we're a pollutant to... niceness, prettiness etc. and not functionality. Oh well. I suppose this is where we'll have to agree to disagree. "Dirty sprawling cities" are clearly much more useful than "green forests", in my opinion. Maybe not for the generation of oxygen, but for living in (by people) they're clearly more useful.

(Hello, I couldn't help hanging around a little)
Well I'm glad we've sorted that out. I take your point that economically and functionally, cities are more useful. (But only to humans, and maybe rats/cockroaches etc)
I just googled my little phrase "people are pollution", and found some rather scary radical political stuff, which i disagree with

Hmm. I've found the American National Socialist party saying that all non-white caucasians are pollution. But, there's also a story about some big-time Nazi (on his own) having a fist fight with thousands of people and winning.

Hmm. Well, I for one believe it.
