Is £9250 the maximum amount of tuition fee support for a nursing degree?

I have previously enquired about receiving SFE support for a nursing degree as I already hold 2 degrees. As Nursing is exempt and a special case I was told I would indeed receive both tuition fee and maintenance loans from SFE.
I am now looking at various pre-registration 2 year masters degrees in order to qualify as a nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery council. Some of these Masters courses have tuition fees in excess of £9250.
For example the Nursing MSc degree, 2 years at the University of Birmingham has annual tuition fees of £10530. Would the SFE fully fund this or would I be expected to pay the difference of £1280 (£10530-£9250)?
Many thanks, Paul

Hi Paul,

Is this the Postgraduate Healthcare version of this course, or a standalone Masters?

If you don't know, do you have a course code so we can check?

Thanks, Graeme

Hello Graeme.
Here is the link:
https://www.birmingham.ac.uk/postgraduate/courses/taught/med/msc-nursing
It is a postgraduate pre-registration masters. A 2 yr accelerated degree, which upon passing allows you to register as an Adult or Mental Health Nurse. Hope that helps. Thanks

I have read other threads on here about accelerated 2 yr MSc nursing degrees (which are exempt courses and ignore previous SFE funding for previous degrees gained) and even though are an MSc. You apply for funding with SFE via the undergraduate route. My initial question is the tuition fee support capped at £9250

Hi Paul,

We can't click on links. You would need to provide the course and university details in full for us to check this.

Thanks,

Already told you above but once again for clarity. Nursing MSc University of Birmingham. An accelerated 2 year course for students already holding a degree. It is a pre-registration MSc that upon passing will enable a person to register as a nurse. Thanks
Hi PaulG2024,

The fees for each year of this course listed on our database are £9250. SFE will cover this.

Thanks,
Calum

I shall email the University of Birmingham tomorrow. They have the Nursing MSc as a preregistion course but unlike other universities I am considering that have 2 year accelerated MSc's and listed as undergraduate funded n charging £9250 per year. Whereas the University of Birmingham has the course listed under posgraduate and attracting course fees of £10530 on their web page....I suspect they have made a mistake their end and Birmingham too should be £9250 tuition fees as per all the other universities. Thank you for your help
Hi PaulG2024,

You're welcome, have a nice evening

Thanks,
