Hello there,

This would be very hard to answer with a straight yes or no. It would depend on a number of factors along the way, including the course space, your personal qualifications and even the module differences between Biomed and Diagnostic Radiography.

I would recommend speaking to our course enquiries team to discuss this.

To email our course enquiries teams it would be [email protected] they take up to five days to respond to any email.

You can also give them a call on 0161 295 4545 between the hours of 10am and 4pm, Monday - Friday.

I hope this helps,

But is it a really high or low possibility? I don’t reach the a level points and really want to do diagnostic radiography? Also what do you mean by modules?

Hi,

Modules are essentially the individual units or subjects that make up your course at university. They are like different topics you'll study throughout your degree, each with its own lectures, assignments, and exams.

For example, in a Biomedicine course, you might have a module like 'Biological Principles', which covers fundamental biology concepts like the cell structure of plants and animals. In contrast, a Diagnostic Radiography course might include a module such as ‘Patient-Centred Care in Medical Imaging’, focusing on patient interaction, safety protocols, and ethical considerations in medical imaging. Modules are designed to provide the specific skills and knowledge needed for that field of study.

The course enquiries team will be best positioned to let you know about the possibility of changing courses after completing your foundation year in Biomedicine.

To email our course enquiries teams it would be [email protected], they take up to five days to respond to any email.

You can also call them on 0161 295 4545 between 10 am and 4 pm, Monday to Friday.

Cheers,
Arslan University of Salford Student Representative

Have you considered taking a one-year Access to Higher Education Diploma? They are readily accepted by unis offering healthcare courses and it will be much cheaper than taking a foundation year at uni (especially a foundation year where it's not clear if you will be able to progress to the course you want to do). You can also take a loan for an Access course that is wiped if you are successful in advancing to a uni course.
