King's College Hospital work experience - location requirement

hi! i am currently looking for medical work experience and came across king's college hospital ( https://www.kch.nhs.uk/careers/working-at-kings/work-experience/ ) which seems to have a really promising course. however it seems to specify areas that you have to live in in order to attend (i assume because these are the areas that they host the course in?)
I was wondering if anyone attended the course and if the location is a firm requirement that cannot be changed or whether I still have a chance of attending if I am happy to travel to the area. I am super desperate for a placement since nobody I know is a doctor so this is really the only way i can get any experience!

Hi! I actually had to commute to kings college hospital too. It took me over an hour but they still let me volunteer.

This was 4 years ago, so I don't know if they have changed the rules

okay thankyou! i dont know if it might be different since i'm trying to get onto their work experience course rather than volunteering?

Hiya, I did this course this year, and afaik it is a hard requirement ☹️ No one else on the program was from out of Bromley, I did post on your other thread about work experience though, hope it helps xx
