It helps if you're open-minded. Reflect on your own beliefs and reasons for doing this. It will help on the hard days.

buy a good a and p book and get familiar will help you out.
in your first year make sure you master how to cite correctly. Use citethemright.com
referencing is where most fall down,
build relationships with classmates; your need each other to get through this.
don't be surprised when they send you for injections and blood tests. Happens typically early in year 1.
make sure you know how to write an essay, basics, for example using peal. which every paragraph being point, evidence anaylis and link.

Plan for placements. If you have kids, you need support to get them to daycare and to pick them up, as on placement, you do 13-hour shifts.

write a motivational letter to your future self. and file for when you graduate.

good luck

I was scared of needles when I started. You get over your fear if you tackle it head-on. You handle a needle in year 1. as you learn how to dispose of a needle safely. You do get used to it, i now like taking blood. Remember your fear is a useful tool to help you help patients change and deal with their own fears. As you learn to deal with your fears.

but remember, when qualified, you can pick a job that does not involve using needles.

everyone on the course would of studies different things. your subjects sound like they will help you though, keep the text books.

or if you want you could study one of those subjects for your degree instead, you have a world of options.
