a level choices pls help omg

So I'm thinking about doing Maths, FM, History and Psychology for alevels and then doing a degree like Economics or Law. I would much rather do Economics A-level than Psychology however there's a timetable clash with Maths (bruh) so I had to pick from another block so I've gone for Psychology.
I'm aiming for universities such as UCL, Bristol etc. Do you think my subject choices put me at a good chance of doing Econ and law?

ALSO SUUUUPER IMPORTANT: UCL wants a grade A in Econ alevel to do it at Degree if it has been offered at your school. But I'm in an awkward position as it IS offered at my school however it's IMPOSSIBLE for me to take it without dropping maths which is way more important. Do you think they'd still accept me assuming I fit all other requirements etc? thanks

I'm actually astounded by the fact that your school clashes economics with maths, what were they thinking???

Regarding UCL, you probably have to speak to them regarding your A levels and particular circumstance and see if they would be flexible.

Your subject choices are good though, Maths and Further maths will put you in a good position to make a competitive application for economics. History will be a useful subject if you go for law.

What that is very weird.. maths and econ is something that's taken together really often why would the school put it in the same block.. you should go speak to your school about that since it's pretty unfair. Further maths is a great addition tho

The majority of Unis do not require A level Econ for an Economics degree - Maths is far more important.
And for Law, there are no subject requirements - you just 3 good grades.

For Economics, UCL does not require A level Economics -
Economics BSc (Econ) | Prospective Students Undergraduate - UCL University College London
And these Unis do not mention Economics in their entry requirements :
LSE - Undergraduate (lse.ac.uk) - including Maths
Bristol - Undergraduate | School of Economics | University of Bristol - including Maths
Manchester - Courses - School of Social Sciences - The University of Manchester - including Maths
Nottingham - Undergraduate Courses - The University of Nottingham - Maths 'preferred'

Despite not specifying, if we are being real, the majority of Econ undergrads will have economics A Level. Maths is definitely crucial though so you can still get into economics regardless. History, English and psychology (and other humanities) definitely bode well for Law though!

If Unis wanted A level Econ, they would specify it. They don't.
And whilst many successful applicants may have it, this is co-incidence, not causation.
