I am doing Masters at Birmingham City University. I had resubmission for 2 modules, one in the first semester which is a optional module and one in the second semester which is a core module. I got 41 and 42 marks which was falling short for the pass percentage of 50%. I had resubmission on July 18th. And the feedback and results was supposed to get on August 15th. But I didn't got any results on the day. After that day As normally everyone gets the Results and Progression report published in the mySRS portal I got my results published. When I checked, for the modules I had resubmissions, it was showing FN (Fail and Withdrawal) and when I get into the details icon, it was showing NA (Non Submission). When I didn't know what happened and enquired about it to the subject tutors and course director, they said it was submitted past the deadline. The submission was on 3 PM , we can submit until 4 PM , with a 1 hour of allowed late submission, which is included in university regulation. But they are saying I was past 4 PM, and my files were showing uploaded as 4:01 and 4:07. The unfortunate thing happened was, I was uploading the submissions around 3.30 PM and 3.45 PM , which was between the allowed time. I was facing error while uploading the files. I had to submit 2 files one word and one power point presentation for one module and one word file for the other modules. But I wasn't able to upload it. But I had around 30 minutes time in my hand, so I waited and tried multiple times and finally got to submit around 3.50 - 3.55 . Which was obviously between the allowed time. But unfortunately their Moodle system only got my files uploaded after 4 PM , I don't know what happened there, but it was showing I submitted late for 1 minute and 7 minutes. That time I was sure I submitted on time, and it didn't occur to me to raise a complaint to the IT or inform it to the tutors because I submitted it on time and the error was resolved before the submission time. Now the university regulation is not allowing to mark my assessment and I am falling short for 40 credits. And they are showing a FN and NS on the modules. I am currently doing my dissertation and I was supposed to apply for my PSW visa after the dissertation submission on September and getting my Masters degree as normal. I want to know what are my possibilities to to retrieve the marks or be able to get another chance to submit the assessments with in the timeline for getting PSW. Is a Compensated pass, condoned fail or getting another chance to submit the 2 modules is possible.
