Hey,
So basically with healthcare jobs they are all paid using bands. As a newly qualified radiographer you would start at band 5, this is the same with most healthcare degrees such as nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy ect. They are all paid the same at entry level. So you would start on around 28k I believe and would eligible to move up to band 6 after 2 years. You can move to the private sector which will be better paying but you’d need at least some experience within the NHS before you can do this and I’m unsure how long this would be specifically for radiography. Hope this helps.

I’m not sure as I’m not sure how radiography works in regard to this and if you have to complete a preceptorship like you do with nursing which is around 12 months, but depends on each person and how long they take. However radiography might be different as I don’t have much knowledge on this. Private sector jobs are competitive though so the more experience you do have the easier it will be for you to get employed. Maybe do a bit of research into this and even contact some radiographers currently working in private practice and see if they can give you some advice.
