Is the academic comeback possible?

Hi, so i didn’t take year 12 seriously and got 3Ds in my mocks at the end of the year. I do french maths and business and want to go to warwick to study international business. My predicted grades right now are ACC. Do you guys have any advice on how to get my predicted grades up, any motivation or any comments really, anything would be appreciated thank you.

From your position, academic comeback is 100% possible. You have over 40 weeks until you have to sit your actual examinations and that is plenty of time to plan out study and revision if you are disciplined. Your motivation is another matter, if you really want to get into Warwick then that should be your motivation, unless it's more of you'd just LIKE to go to Warwick but deep down you're not overly fussed. If you want something badly enough then we can always find it within ourselves to go the extra mile, stay in rather than go out, get up a bit earlier and study etc.... If we really want to, otherwise you'll just find excuses to do it later, and there's still time - then before you know it you'll have a few weeks until exams and it'll be too late. You can certainly do it if you put your mind to it, and stick with it!

Try to do between 15-25 hours of revision a week. I was getting AAB before but I've got 3A*s predicted after I started that in January.

ah i did different film/book but can defo help with structure:

intro
- 1/2 sentences that summarise the overall story/plot. 1 sentence to introduce your argument

paragraphs x3
- point
- explain
- evidence/analysis - specific film scenes or quotes from the book, start with obvious analysis and then build up to your more interesting ideas !
- link back to the question - you want to make it SUPER obvious to the examiner that you’re answering the question !

conclusion
1/2 sentences to reinforce your arguments and link back to the question

if you want, i can send you some of my old paper 2 essays to help you get a clearer idea !

I got UUE in 3 of my A Level mocks. I was predicted CDD. I made the greatest academic comeback with the help of my teachers and achieved BCC in my results last week so it is possible.
Go to all support sessions that are on offer.
Get a tutor for maths
For business use tutor4u.
For Spanish ask for one to one time with your teacher and also the same with maths if possible
