what other courses should i apply to with hsps

im set on applying to hsps at cambridge but idk what else?? most likely sociology but can someone help with some more ideas lkeeee international relations.?? politics?? idk

Hi, I study Political Science at uni. International relations appears both as a uni degree in itself, but it is also a sub-discipline of Political Science, so I had the option to specialise in IR as part of my uni course, for example. IR is more interdisciplinary, and tends to be quite theory-based (e.g. "are democracies less likely to go to war?"). Taking a brief look at the HSPS page the Politics, IR and Sociology summaries seem to fit pretty well with what I study in Political Science. So if you can probably use the same personal statement for HSPS and another study like Politics.

I'd say in order to make a good decision you need to know what careers might interest you and which study choices would be most fun and useful.
