I feel like there's definitely a lot that they miss out :K:

Basic life skills, more cooking, politics (e.g how to analyse modern texts and debates instead of Shakespeare) etc

Key life skills i.e how to do taxes etc and more focus on cooking and staying safe in the kitchen because that was cut short. Also more knowledge about possible future career paths if you don't want to follow the traditional route. Also self defense.

General knowledge about recent music artists, social media apps or movies. Would have saved me a lot of bother.

Self-defence is a good one.

I definitely agree with you guys, particularly on life skills, cooking and taxes.

I think first aid should be taught a little as well
Saw self defence and I agree for sure. Would've been more useful than alot of the stuff I did
Taxes, mortgages - bascially general life skills and how to manage money

What do you guys mean by ‘self-defence’? Like fighting skills or smth? Luckily my school did a lot on first aid and a couple of lessons on taxes so I’m good there.

I would say basic plumbing, electric, heating and car maintenance could come in very handy. I would also agree with cooking - I value it as a skill quite highly. I think there’s even more PSHE lessons in sixth form 😭

My school gave quite good food tech lessons even in year 7 and 8 which I feel like it taught the basic cooking skills and safety stuff
Life skills - cooking, maintenance and things like that
basic computer skills like how to use all the apps on the computer i was given

I fully agree with this. I consider myself fairly good with personal finance (at least, compared to my peers) but even I have to admit I barely have a clue sometimes!
