A Level Options

Got to decide my A Level courses today, and I was wondering whether it's better to do 3 A Levels plus an EPQ, or 4 A Levels without an EPQ. Also I want to do applied criminology as an A Level, however it's called a level 3 applied criminology does that still get seen as an A Level by universities because I don't want to take this subject and get ruled out.

The first one 100%, there is no advantage to having a fourth A level

I'm going to need a bit more detail about that criminology qualification to give you a definite answer. What's the full info for it?
