Second degree funding

Hi,

I recently completed a degree in BSc Accounting and Finance, but would like to do another degree in electronics engineering. I know that I wouldn't get tuition funding for a second degree, however I was just wondering if I were to apply for an integrated masters for this degree, is there any chance that this would be funded as it's a higher level. I don't think it would but was just wondering.

Thanks

Hi samgjoka,

Is it the full integrated masters course including the undergraduate years or are you just looking to do the integrated masters year to top this up to the higher qualification?

Thanks, Clare

Hi,

It would be including the undergraduate years as well.

Thank you

Hi samgjoka,

You wouldn't be able to get funding for an integrated masters including the undergraduate years if you already hold a degree. You could potentially study a standalone Masters qualification which would be funded by the Postgraduate Loan.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. If I were to do this degree part time would I then be eligible for funding for this?

Thanks

Sorry, to clear up I mean rather than doing an integrated masters, if I were to do a part time BSc degree in electrical engineering would that be eligible for funding?

Thanks

Hi,
The course is 4 years, thx

Thanks. The only course showing with these details is the MEng? There isn't a 4 year BEng on the system, only a 3 year one. Thanks, Leah.

Hi,
On this link https://www.lsbu.ac.uk/study/course-finder/beng-hons-electrical-electronic-engineering#overview it shows that there's a 4 year part-time BEng available I'm pretty sure. Thanks

We can't click on any links here, sorry. The university may not have added the 4 year part time version on our system yet. I would recommend contacting them regarding this as we need to check this is an eligible course we fund. The only part time ones they have added are for 3 years (full time equivalent duration) and the 4 year MEng. Thanks, Leah.
