things i can do to strengthen my medicine application

I am planning on applying to graduate medicine next year and want to strengthen my application as much as I can. Currently, I am interviewing for healthcare assistant jobs. I already have hospital volunteering experience and have worked in admin at a hospital. But I want to know what else I can do to show my commitment to medicine. Does anyone have any ideas?

Im also applying for GEM (but this year)! What was your undergrad in? And are planning on doing the UCAT, GAMSAT or both?

good luck! my undergrad was in biomedical sciences but I got a 2:2. I don't plan on getting a masters or phd, so I can only apply to nottingham. I'll only be doing the gamsat.

Understand, and mention - The NHS values | Health Careers

Get as much relevant work experience as you can - working in a care-home is ideal, but whatever experience you can get.

Hello it sounds like you are on the right path.

Have you tried networking and talking to the professionals, they will definitely give you a better insight into your future career.

Best wishes.

I got a 2:1 , but im lacking quite alot in the work experience department as I wasn't interested in medicine till a year ago. Im trying to find volunteering in a hospital and have applied to HCA jobs but nothing yet. Also going to contact local hospitals to see if I can do some shadowing. I need to submit my application by october 15th so Im not sure if i have enough time!
