OCR A-level NEA Django

Hey, I'm starting the development stage of my NEA and I'm using Django (with Visual Studios Code as my IDE) to create a student planner app. The thing is, I honestly am stuck and I don't know where to start.

So far, I've followed a tutorial on the VSC website and I've installed Django and made a debugger launch profile. Following this tutorial created a lot of different files which I don't know what each file should be used for and it's quite overwhelming.

I've watched a yt video from channel Dennis Ivy which explains Django in pretty simple terms (the video was 8 mins long) from where I learnt some basic commands to research. But if anyone has some really good sources they could recommend me I'd be so grateful.

I was planning to start by creating all of the different 'screens' in my app, eg login screen, home screen. Is this a good idea to do these first? Should I be using Django to build these, I've read that it's more of a backend language so is there a more suitable language to build the UI that is OCR approved and works with Django?
