can I get into Oxbridge law

I got my gcse results back and I didn’t do as well as I intended

9 English literature
9 English language
8 History
8 Biology
8 Maths
8 French
7 Chemistry
7 Physics [getting remarked]
7 RS
7 German [will be remarked to an 8/9 because of some issues at my school]

I was wondering if this is enough to get into oxbridge law as it isn’t the best. I heard that Cambridge looks less at gcse grades so would that be a better to apply to

Honestly I have kind of similar results to you and I too did not do as well as intended but it's defo good enough dw!
"GCSEs will be taken into account when we consider your application but they are just one aspect that we look at. GCSE results will be considered alongside your personal statement, academic reference, predicted grades and performance in any written work or written test required for your course."
and
"Higher grades at GCSE can help to make your application more competitive, and successful applicants typically have a high proportion of 7,8 and 9 grades. However, we do look at GCSE grades in context."- From Oxford's website, I think these grades are certainly high enough for GCSES, realistically anything over a 7 would be enough for consideration, and arguably the most important GCSES (english and maths) you managed to get 9s and 8s for, which is very good. Typically, GCSE results would only really be an issue if it was like a grade 5 or 6, and even then it wouldnt affect too much depending on other aspects of the application.

Best of luck!
Who is it that goes around filling sixth formers with doom and gloom about about GCSEs and Oxbridge? Oxford and Cambridge are clear on their websites about how they view GCSEs. But somehow a myth has developed that, unless you get 97 9s, it's go straight to jail, do not pass Go, do not collect £200. There is a related myth that Oxford goes nuts about GCSEs but Cambridge doesn't really give two hoots about GCSEs.
