I got A*A*B what unis could i get in?

my current accepted course is at bristol for engineering mathematics, however bristol offered me this course after rejecting me from computer science. Since i got much higher that my predicted (AAB) should i reapply to my original course and other unis?
What subject is the B in?

Realistically I think you'd probably need to be resitting it to get an A or above for most competitive CS courses - it's a very popular course, and A*A*B =/= A*AA or AAA from unis perspectives. They may consider that but since you're not a near miss applicant but would be applying fresh without meeting the requirements formally, there's a good chance you may not get any offers from the unis you want to get offers from.

Of course engineering mathematics is a very different course, being a course in applied maths effectively. Do you want to do a maths degree?

engineering mathematics appeals to me, but not general mathematics. It was mainly the engineering maths i liked in particular. Do you reckon i will get into the comp sci course at bristol (the requirement is AAB because i got a contextual, this was also my predicted grades last year but idk why u didn’t get it)

Are you sure you meet the specific contextual criteria for Bristol?

Honestly if you otherwise like the course at Bristol I'd say just stick with it. As long as you understand the differences as well as similarities then you are making an informed decision

It includes a fair bit of computational modelling by the look of things so plenty of opportunity to develop more programming skills beyond the initial stuff they cover in the course I would expect. I can't imagine it would lead to substantially different jobs afterwards.

Only if you resit the B grade to get it up to an A - and even then they may not accept resits (either in general or for that course - UCL lists whether resits are accepted on a per-course basis on the course pages).
